I only have 25pound dumbbells, im 21 and sorta skinny. I have a hard time lifting them, but I force myself too, and I kinda use my right hand to help me when I lift with my left arm.
Is this okay? or should I really just buy smaller weights?

Hello,
The first day i started lifting weights, i didn’t warm up or anything, i just went straight to the dumbbells and started lifting weights. I got sore muscles and i still have the soreness its been about 3 now, but i realized the my left arm is a little swollen.
The part above my elbow, like the part where i fold my arm.
Is this something i should be concerned about?
I did some research and i think the swollen part is on the side muscle of my elbow, left hand.
I been working out my arms as of late, but I have noticed that my left arm is really weak compared to my right. So i decided to make the weights even, however when I do, i don’t feel much strain on my right arm as much as my left arm. Basically, is it wise to use a slightly bigger dumbbell in one arm than the other?
I can straighten both my elbows but it will really hurt. It hurts more in the right. I just started gym and I only did about 20 reps total. I lifted just two or three of the weight plates to get the feel for the machine, far less than the maximum weight. Carried dumbbells and things and then when I woke up yesterday, my left arm on the inner side of my elbow and upper inner forearm hurt. It hurts even more today. I can’t straighten out my arm completely without it hurting, although if I force myself long enough the pain gradually subsides. I took a break from the gym yesterday and I thought this morning it will be better but it turns out, it’s even more painful and I searched it’s normal but is it recommended to take another day off? I don’t want to tear out my arms.
