    How much dumbbell weight should i be lifting?

    I only have 25pound dumbbells, im 21 and sorta skinny. I have a hard time lifting them, but I force myself too, and I kinda use my right hand to help me when I lift with my left arm.

    Is this okay? or should I really just buy smaller weights?

            Is it okay to lift weights during pregnancy?

            I only want to life 5lb hand held weights. I have 5 different exercises I do with them & I do sets of 2, reps of 12 with a rest in between It’s not really strenuous at all. I stretch before & after.
            I stopped when I found out I was pregnant. Is it safe to continue? I know it’s no good to be lifting heavy objects but what about 5lb dumbbells, what are the dangers if any?

              So I’ve been doing plain squats. No dumbbells whatsoever. The squats I’ve been doing has helped a lot and I want to add dumbbells to it!:) I want to know if doing dumbbell squats help burn calories, help you lose weight, make your thighs burn fat/make them slimmer, help your butt, just overall help you lose weight?

                Lifting weights question. HELP please.?

                I lift dumbbell weights every day, & I want to know if I’m doing it wrong or not because I seriously don’t know.

                I have two different dumbbell weights. The kind upstairs come in two, and they are 7.5 pounds for each arm. I lift those 75 times for each arm, (150 total lifts) and I feel it is the right amount. The other weight is about 18 pounds, & I lift that 100 times. I feel both exercises give me the same amount of work-out. ALSO, after I lift either one of the weights, I always do 25 push ups after.

                So here is what I do:

                Either lift 18 pound weight 100 times, then do 25 push ups
                or
                Lift 7.5 pounds for each arm, 75 times for each arm then do 25 push ups

                I do this everyday, 4 times.

                Please read below.

                If there is something wrong, please tell me what the problem is and what I should do instead. Please do NOT give me sources.
                I am not looking for benching, stuff like that. I ONLY have dumbbells. So just tell me what I should do to improve my work-out. (If there is any)
                Is this enough for one day? Should I increase it? Decrease it? Is it to much? (Basically…. is it a good AMOUNT?)

                Thats pretty much it, sorry for all that info, just wanted to be specific. This is my second time asking this, I improved it a little bit. Last time all I got was ‘Kid, your doing it ALL wrong’ and gave me a source… I do not want that. Please tell me what the problem is and what I can do to improve it.

                    Recently I purchased a set of iron dumbbells at Saturday Flea Market. The dumbbells are welded, meaing I bought dumbbells from 5 lbs to 55 lbs. I wasn’t going to buy them, because the technique I was going to use was like 1 set of10 reps of 30 lbs, then 10 repsof 25 lbs, etc., this man said I should do heavy weight and each set lower reps…I have never heard of this? What does this do, he said it builds 1. Strength 2. Muscle size Please Advise!
